A clear guide to the cookies and similar technologies used across our website.

1.0 What Are Cookies
A cookie is a small text file which is stored on your device when you visit a website. Cookies are widely used to make websites work, to make them work more efficiently, and to provide information to the website owner. Similar technologies, such as pixels and scripts, work in much the same way, and references to “cookies” in this policy include these technologies.
This policy explains what cookies Logbook Money Limited (LBM) uses on our website, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use your personal data more generally.
2.0 How We Use Cookies
We use cookies to help our website work properly, to understand how our website is used so that we can improve it, and to measure our advertising. We group them into the same three categories you see in our cookie consent manager:
Necessary cookies: These are needed for our website to work and cannot be switched off. They help you fill in and submit an online application, keep it secure, remember your cookie choices and, if a partner website sent you to us, record which partner introduced you. Because they are strictly necessary, they do not require your consent.
Analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity): We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit our website, how they found us and which pages they view, and Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use our pages, such as where they click, how they scroll and where they have difficulty. We use this to find and fix parts of our website that are hard to use. They are only used if you allow analytics cookies, and Microsoft Clarity is not loaded at all unless you do.
Advertising cookies (Google Ads): We advertise in Google search results. These cookies let Google Ads tell us when a visit from one of our adverts leads to an application, so that we can measure our advertising. We do not use them to show you personalised adverts or to follow you with adverts on other websites.
Apart from necessary cookies, we only use cookies with your consent.

We use Google Consent Mode, which passes your cookie choices to Google Analytics and Google Ads. If you do not allow analytics or advertising cookies, Google sets none of those cookies and may only receive basic, cookieless signals, such as that a page was viewed or an application was made, without the identifier that links a visit to an advert click. We never allow Google to use our website for personalised advertising or remarketing.
4.0 Your Choices and Managing Cookies
When you first visit our website, our cookie consent manager asks you to choose which cookies you accept. You can accept or decline analytics cookies (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) and advertising cookies (Google Ads) separately. Neither is switched on unless you choose to allow it, and only necessary cookies are used if you decline both.
You can change your mind at any time by selecting “Change cookie settings” below, or on a larger screen the cookie icon at the bottom left of any page, and updating your preferences. You can withdraw your consent as easily as you gave it, and withdrawing it will not affect the lawfulness of any use of cookies before you withdrew it.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete some or all cookies. Please note that if you block all cookies, including necessary cookies, our website may not function as intended and you may not be able to complete an online application. Information on how to manage cookies in common browsers is available from the help section of your browser or at www.aboutcookies.org.
You can also manage how Google and Microsoft use your data more generally:
Some cookies on our website are placed by third parties, including Google and Microsoft. We do not control these cookies, and these companies may use the information they collect in accordance with their own privacy policies. You can find out more about how they use your data here:
Data collected through cookies may be transferred to, and stored in, countries outside the UK and/or European Economic Area (EEA). Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
6.0 Our Legal Basis
We use essential cookies because they are strictly necessary to provide the online service you have requested. For all other cookies, we rely on your consent under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Where cookies collect personal data, this data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy, and you have the rights described in it.
7.0 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in legal requirements. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated. We recommend that you review this policy regularly.

You have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) or another relevant data protection authority if you are dissatisfied with how we use your personal data.
